Session Description:

One of the biggest challenges in achieving scale for innovations is sustainability. This may be especially true for innovations that require teachers to learn new things and the school system to operate in different ways to support all learners. In this talk, following a discussion of the nature of sustainability at scale, I will discuss challenges faced in sustaining innovations that target students who have not historically been well served by schools. I will then discuss different strategies for supporting and sustaining the work.
