Presenters:

Amber Rowland, Sean Smith, and Maggie Mosher

Session Description:

VOISS Advisor is an online platform designed to support educators as they facilitate student practice and generalization of learned social skills in physical settings through methods, models and videos. Although not required to use VOISS Advisor, VOISS is an app for students to practice social skills in virtual reality and it will be shared and experienced during the session. Join us to learn how to implement this easy-to-use, free student tool and teacher professional development!

  • Participants will understand how VOISS Advisor was developed to support educator implementation of an evidence-based practice, called VOISS.
  • Participants will contextualize lessons learned through this development to support their own professional development efforts.
  • Participants will experience guided access and exploration of the VOISS Advisor platform with associated video models, educator implementation guides, and a decision tree tool to support personalization of learning for students with specific social skill competency needs.
