Higher order reasoning associated with argumentation is a complex skill that is scaffolded in this routine to enable students to think critically about a claim, decide on the strength of the claim, and explain the reasoning that supports the claim. These evidence-based procedures are essential for preparing students for post-secondary experiences. You and your students will enjoy the journey through The Scientific Argumentation Routine.
