SIMposium Session: Engaging Adolescents in Learning and Transition Planning: Possible Selves 2nd Edition

Session Description:
During this session, we explore the challenge of engaging students in learning through self-identity activities (Who am I?). We then discuss ways to surface student goals students are passionate about and have some potential to be good at (Who will I become?). Finally, we discuss and review activities that guide students through developing action plans that address student goals as learners, persons, and in possible careers (How do I get there?). Possible Selves 2nd Edition is a significant revision incorporating educational technology to personalize instruction better. Participants will receive a PDF copy of the new manual.
